Mentoring is coming along side another in a sustained
relationship to aid in developing skills, to provide support and
guidance during times of personal or social stress, and to make
experience-based recommendations when requested for decision making.
Mentoring can be a strategic help when there is a need for:
Consulting
on especially tough counseling cases.
Developing
and promoting counseling programs within a church or community.
Acquiring
skills-building reading and audio/visual materials for
counseling and other ministry services.
Providing
samples of bylaws, office forms, handouts, and recommended
reading resources for clients.
